Biography

Alena (“Aleena”) is an associate attorney at Le & Kittleson, where she represents individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, and other catastrophic harms. She is deeply passionate about helping the Davids stand up against the Goliaths—powerful insurance companies and corporations—because she knows firsthand the struggles everyday people face when the odds are stacked against them.

A fifth-generation Washingtonian and first-generation lawyer, Alena grew up exploring the woods, rivers, and mountains in the Snoqualmie Valley in the outer eastside of King County. She began working at the age of fourteen, first doing farm work, then retail work, and later waiting tables. These early experiences instilled in her a deep appreciation for hard work, resilience, and the challenges faced by working families—values that continue to drive her legal practice today.

After graduating from Mount Si High School, Alena pursued her undergraduate studies at Montana State University (Bozeman). Between undergrad and law school, she worked in personal finance/investment management and management-side employment litigation—all while waitressing to make ends meet, often working 50-60 hours a week. But what she loved most was helping people build a better future.

Alena earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2023. Since then, she has dedicated her career to plaintiff’s-side litigation, initially advocating for workers wronged by their employers and now representing injured folks. Alena is passionate about serving her beloved Western Washington communities. She is a passionate advocate who works tirelessly to help her clients reclaim their lives and obtain the full value they deserve for their cases.

When she’s not working on your case, you can find Alena cooking steak, hiking in the Cascades, or (re)reading Hesse.

Two fictional characters I try to channel in my life and work are Atticus Finch (from Harper Lee’s novel To Kill a Mockingbird) and George Bailey (from Frank Capra’s film It’s a Wonderful Life). Atticus Finch always tried to do the right thing for each and every person, even if it was the most difficult or controversial thing. George Bailey devoted his life to building up his community, particularly the small businesses and the working class. I strive to do the same for the communities here in the Greater Seattle area. I am especially proud of the successful results I’ve obtained for my clients from the Southeast Asian, Hispanic, and Eritrean communities of Western Washington. For example, we recently obtained a $2.5 million verdict for a couple who were originally refugees from Southeast Asia. They came to the States to live their American dream, only to be seriously hurt in a car crash. I am proud to have helped reclaim their lives and hope to do the same for others. Together, we will build a better future.
